JIS G4051 S55C 재질은 기계 구조용 탄소강 규정으로 Bar, Rod, Plate, Sheet,
육각강 제품으로,  열간 압연, 열 간단조 등 열간 가공에 의해 제품입니다.

S55C, 3.2t Pickled and Oiled, 열간 압연 sheet 는, 제조 과정의 스케일, 녹을
산 (酸)으로 세척하고, 녹 방지를 위한 오일을 도포한 제품을 말합니다.

S55C 탄소량 0.52~0.58%, Annealed Hardness HB 149~192 (참고치)
S45C 탄소량 0.42~0.48%, Annealed Hardness HB 137~170 (참고치)와

서로 비교하면 탄소량이 높은 S55C의 경도가 높음을 알 수 있습니다.
탄소강에서 탄소량은 강재의 강도와 경도를 높여주는 역할을 합니다.

※ Pickled Surface (산세 다듬질 : 酸洗)
Finish which indicates the surface conditions of steel products, with which
the scale, rust, etc. of surface are removed by dipping into sulfuric acid,
hydrochloric acid or other acid solution

강재의 표면 상태를 나타내며, 황산, 염산 또는 기타의 산용액에 침지 시켜
(액체에 담그다) 표면의 스케일, 녹 등을 제거한 것을 말합니다.

※ Annealing (풀림 열처리)
Heat treatment consisting of heating and soaking at a suitable
temperature followed by cooling under conditions such that,
after return to ambient temperature, the metal will be in
a structural state closer to that of equilibrium.
Annealing is a heat treatment process to transform the steel
structure in to a more homogeneous, soft or more suitable state
Note : Since this definition is very general, it is advisable to use an
expression specifying the aim of the treatment (see bright annealing,
full annealing, soft annealing, inter-critical annealing, isothermal
annealing and subcritical annealing)

금속 재료를 적당한 온도로 가열하고, 그 온도에서 유지하는 균질화 처리를
한 뒤, 냉각함으로써 냉각 후 상온에서의 조직이 평형 상태에
가깝도록 하는 열처리를 말합니다.
이 용어는 아주 광범위하게 사용되므로 처리하는 목적을 덧붙여
사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 예를 들어 광휘 어닐링, 완전 어닐링,
연화 어닐링, 중간 어닐링, 등온 어닐링, 변태점 이하 어닐링.
