C15R 재질은 표면 경화강 용도로 쓰입니다.
Bright Bar (마봉강) 표면 마무리 제품으로 사용합니다.

표면 경화강은 탄소량이 낮은 재질로, 표면을 경화 해서 사용하면
강재 심부 (core)는 인성 (toughness)를 가지고, 표면은 높은 경도입니다.

C15R 강재의 표면 마무리와 열처리 기호는 아래와 같습니다.
+C : drawn, +SH : turned, +SL : ground, +A : soft annealed.

저탄소강 및 저탄소 합금강으로, 주로 침탄 퀜칭에 의해 표면 경화 시킨 강
표면의 내마모성과 내피로성을 높이지만, 강재 내부의 인성을 유지 시킨 강재.
표면 경화 방법으로는 침탄 (Carburizing), 질화 (Nitriding), 침붕 (Boriding)이 있고
각각 탄소, 질소, 붕소를 강재 표면에 침투 시켜 경화 시키는 방법입니다.
