ASTM A829 규정은 저합금강재에 구조용 강판에 대한 규정이고
A829-4130 재질은 탄소량 0.30% 수준의 Chromium, Molybdenum 합금강입니다.

크롬과 몰리브덴 원소는 QT 열처리시에 강도 경도를 높여주는 유효한 원소로
A829-4130 재질에 높지 않은 합금량으로, 저합금강재에 속합니다.

탄소량이 0.30% 부터, 탄소량이 높아짐에 따라 QT 열처리성이
직선적으로 높아지는 성질에 합금 원소로, 더욱 열처리성을 기대 할 수 있고

A829-4130 을, Annealed (풀림 열처리)하면 항복강도 Typical 360 MPa 수준이지만
QT 열처리시에는 더 높은 강도가 가능하고, 열처리 온도에 따라 기계적 성질이 변합니다.

※ Alloy (합금 : 合金)
Product consisting of a metal and one or more elements totally
soluble in it in the liquid state and capable of entering into
solid solution or forming a compound.

한 종류 이상의 다른 원소가 포함되고, 액체 상태에서는 그들이
완전히 용해되지만, 고체 상태에서는 그 원소들은, 고용되거나
화합물을 형성하는 금속 소재.

※ Chromium (Cr : 크롬)
When used as an alloying element, chromium increases the hardenability of steel
and in association with high carbon gives resistance to wear and abrasion.
Chromium has an important effect on corrosion resistance and is present
in stainless steels in amounts of 11.5-20%.

크롬은 강에 합금 원소로 사용되며, 크롬량이 증가하면 경화성이 높아지고
고탄소강에는 내마모 성질을 부여합니다. 크롬은 스텐레스강에서 가장
중요한 원소로 11.5~20% 수준 합금 되어, 내식 성질을 부여합니다.

※ Molybdenum (Mo)
Its use as an alloying element in steel increase hardenability and
in low alloy steels reduces the risk of temper brittleness.
It is used in stainless steels as well as high speed steels.
It is increases the high-temperature tensile and creep strengths in steel.

몰리브덴은 경화능 향상 원소이고, 저합금강에서는 템퍼 취성을 감소 시키는
역할을 합니다. 몰리브덴은 고속도강부터 스텐레스까지 합금되는 원소입니다.
몰리브덴은 강에서 고온 강도와 크리프 강도를 높여주는 역할을 합니다.
