SAE 5120H 강재는 Chromium 0.80% 합금한 저합금강입니다.
다른 합금 원소는 미량이고, 크롬 원소가 주요 합금입니다.

크롬 원소는 열처리성을 높이는 유효한 원소이지만
SAE 5120H 강재에서는 0.80% 수준의 낮은 합금량으로

SAE 4320H, SAE 8620H 강재과 같은 Ni-Cr-Mo 합금보다는
열처리성에서 떨어지는 저합금 기계구조용 합금강재입니다.

SAE 5120H 강재는 AISI 5120H, ASTM A304-5120H 강재와
대응되는 UNS H51200 으로, 환봉 형상 제품입니다.

※ Chromium (Cr : 크롬)
When used as an alloying element, chromium increases the hardenability of steel
and in association with high carbon gives resistance to wear and abrasion.
Chromium has an important effect on corrosion resistance and is present
in stainless steels in amounts of 11.5-20%.

크롬은 강에 합금 원소로 사용되며, 크롬량이 증가하면 경화성이 높아지고
고탄소강에는 내마모 성질을 부여합니다. 크롬은 스텐레스강에서 가장
중요한 원소로 11.5~20% 수준 합금 되어, 내식 성질을 부여합니다.

Alloy steels used for machine parts which obtain required
properties generally by giving final working such as
forging, cutting, drawing, etc. and heat treatment.

​보통 사용할 때 단조, 절삭, 인발 등의 가공과 열처리를 시행하여
소기의 성질을 얻어 기계 부품으로 만들어지는 합금강 강재입니다.

철강재의 전체 또는 일부에 열 사이클을 적용하여 그 성질 또는 조직을 변화 시키는
일련의 작업으로, 철강재의 화학 조성은 이러한 작업 과정으로 변할 수 있습니다.
