AISI 4150 환봉 강재는 크롬과 몰리브덴 합금강재입니다.
0.50% 수준의 탄소량으로 QT 열처리성이 좋으며,

Chromium, Molybdenum 합금 성분이 담금질성을 더 높여주는 역할을 합니다.
합금강으로 크롬과 몰리브덴의 합금량이 높지 않지만, 좋은 열처리성입니다.

Annealed 조건에서는 항복강도 380 MPa mininum
Normalized 열처리에서는 734 MPa 수준의 항복강도이고

QT 열처리에서 Tempering 온도 조건에 따라 다르지만
650℃ Tempering 에서는 841 MPa 수준으로 높아집니다.

AISI 4150 강재는 SAE 4150 규정 강재와 대응되며
한쪽 끝 경화능 열처리 하는 경우 Symbol 4150H 로 표기합니다.

AISI 4150 환봉 강재는 높은 응력이 작용하는 환경에 사용하는 Bolt, Nut, Shaft,
파스너 용도로 쓰이고, 스텐레스가 아닌, 합금강으로 내식성은 제한적입니다.

※ Alloy (합금 : 合金)
Product consisting of a metal and one or more elements totally
soluble in it in the liquid state and capable of entering into
solid solution or forming a compound.

한 종류 이상의 다른 원소가 포함되고, 액체 상태에서는 그들이
완전히 용해되지만, 고체 상태에서는 그 원소들은, 고용되거나
화합물을 형성하는 금속 소재입니다.

※ Chromium (Cr : 크롬)
When used as an alloying element, chromium increases the hardenability of steel
and in association with high carbon gives resistance to wear and abrasion.
Chromium has an important effect on corrosion resistance and is present
in stainless steels in amounts of 11.5-20%.

크롬은 강에 합금 원소로 사용되며, 크롬량이 증가하면 경화성이 높아지고
고탄소강에는 내마모 성질을 부여합니다. 크롬은 스텐레스강에서 가장
중요한 원소로 11.5~20% 수준 합금 되어, 내식 성질을 부여합니다.
