A514 Plate 규격은 Grade A~S 까지 8가지 Grade 종류이지만
어떤 Grade 이든지 기계적 성질이 동일한 특징이 있습니다.

A514 Plate 강재는 QT 열처리로만 생산하며, 최소 항복강도 100 ksi
고강도 합금강 강판으로, 용접용 교량이나, 구조용 (structural) 입니다.

ASTM A514 강재는 QT 열처리성이 좋은 크롬, 몰리브덴, 니켈, 바나듐, 보론, 원소를
Grade 에 따라 합금 되기도 하고, 빼기도 하면서 Grade 를 설계한 재질입니다.

8가지 Grade 로는 A514 Grade A, A514 Gr.B, A514 Gr.E, A514 Gr.F, A514 Gr.H,
A514 Gr.P, A514-Q, A514-S 이며, 모두 KS 용접구조용강 중 최고 강도인

SM460B 강판 — 항복강도 460 MPa minimum 보다도, 강도가 높은 강재입니다.
ASTM A514 Plate 규격은 두께 150 mm 까지이고, 용접에 적합한 재료입니다.

※ 열처리( Heat Treatment : 熱處理)
철강재의 전체 또는 일부에 열 사이클을 적용하여 그 성질 또는 조직을 변화 시키는
일련의 작업으로, 철강재의 화학 조성은 이러한 작업 과정으로 변할 수 있습니다.

Series of operations in the course of which a solid ferrous product is totally or
or partially exposed to thermal cycles to bring about a change in its
properties and/or structure.
The chemical composition of the ferrous product may possibly be
modified during these operations.

※ Vanadium (V) – increases shock resistance, strength, and hardness.
Retards grain growth even after exposure to high temperatures.
바나듐 원소는 경도와 강도, 충격 저항성을 높이고,
고온에서 결정립의 성장을 지연시키는 원소입니다.
또한 내마모성과 탄성한계를 높이고 조직을 미세화 시키며, 비중 6.16 g/㎤
판재의 경우 항복강도 450 MPa, 냉간 압연시(84%) 770 MPa 수준입니다.
고속도 공구강, 스프링강, 열간 금형용 합금 공구강에 Ni, Cr, Mo 원소와
같이 합금 되어 쓰이는 경우가 많습니다.
