605M36 강재는 몰리브덴-망간 합금강재로 영국 규격 재료이고 심경화 가능한
(through-hardening) 재료로 QT 열처리하면 최소 항복강도 650 MPa 수준입니다.

내충격성과 우수한 인성, 템퍼 취성이 없는 재료이고 605M36 재질의
이전 규격은 EN16 이고, QT 열처리시에 605M36T 또는 EN16T 입니다.

605M36 합금강은 축, 샤프트, 볼트 너트, 기어, 내충격성이 요구되는 환경에
시용되고, 다양한 엔지니어링용, 기계 구조용 강재입니다.

※ Molybdenum (Mo)
Its use as an alloying element in steel increase hardenability and
in low alloy steels reduces the risk of temper brittleness.
It is used in stainless steels as well as high speed steels.
It is increases the high-temperature tensile and creep strengths in steel.

몰리브덴은 경화능 향상 원소이고, 저합금강에서는 템퍼 취성을 감소 시키는
역할을 합니다. 몰리브덴은 고속도강부터 스텐레스까지 합금 되는 원소입니다.
몰리브덴은 강에서 고온 강도와 크리프 강도를 높여주는 역할을 합니다.

※ Manganese (Mn)
Stabilized austenite and lowers the transformation temperature,
improving quenchability. Increases strength without reducing toughness.
Stabilizes cementite and suppresses graphitization.
Fixes S as MnS and thereby prevents red brittleness.

망간은 오스테나이트 안정화 원소이고, 천이온도를 낮춰줍니다.
소입성을 증가 시키고, 인성의 감소없이 강도를 높여주지만
너무 많으면 취성을 증가 시킵니다.

※ Temper embrittlement (템퍼 취성, 뜨임 취성)
Embrittlement which affects certain quenched and tempered steels, after
socking at certain temperature or during slow cooling through these temperature.
This embrittlement reveals itself by a displacement of a transition curve for the
impact strength of the base metal towards higher temperatures.
It disappears after reheating at a temperature above 550℃ followed by rapid cooling.

특정 온도에서 균열화 하거나 이 온도 부근에서 서서히 냉각하면 담금질 후
뜨임된 강재에서 취성이 발생하는 현상을 말합니다.
이 취성은 모재의 충격 강도 천이 곡선이 (연성-취성 천이 온도가) 고온 쪽으로
이동 됨으로서 드러납니다.
이 취성은 550℃ 이상으로 재가열 후 빠르게 냉각하면 없어집니다.
