ASTM에서 A276 의 규정과
A479 의 규정 내용은 비슷한게 많습니다.

자세히 살펴보면 약간씩 차이점이 있으며
A276 은 Commonly used,

A479 는 Boiler and Pressure vessel used.
제품 구성에서는 A276 , A479 모두

Round-Bars and Shapes 라는 데서 같습니다.
A276 에서는 제품 제조 방법의 열처리 규정 중

여러가지 약호가 나타납니다.
Condition A : Annealed (풀림 열처리)

Condition H : Hardened and Tempered at a relatively low temperature
비교적 낮은 온도에서의 담금질과 뜨임 열처리

Condition T : Hardened and Tempered at a relatively high temperature
비교적 높은 온도에서의 담금질과 뜨임 열처리

Condition S : Strain Hardened at a relatively light cold work
비교적 가벼운 냉간 가공에 의한 변형 경화

Condition B : Relatively severe cold work
비교적 심한 냉간 가공.

※  Strain Hardening (변형 경화)
An increase in hardness and strength caused by plastic
deformation at temperature lower than the recrystallization range.

재결정 온도 이하에서 소성 변형을 일으켜 경도와
강도를 증가 시키는 현상을 말합니다.

※ Recrystallization (재결정)
Formation of new crystals or grains from deformed metal,
accomplished by suitable heat treatment.

냉간 가공된 금속 재료에서 상의 변태 없이 핵의 생성과
성장을 통해 새로운 결정립이 생성되도록 시행하는 열처리.

※ Grain
Unit cells which are the smallest building blocks of material create
grains by coming together from different orientations.
Steel with a small grain size (high number of ASTM-standard) has a
high tensile strength  and a good toughness.
