특징은 Carbon-Molybdenum 합금입니다.
Molybdenum 합금 효과는 고온 강도의 향상입니다.

-29℃~538℃ 수준 환경에 사용되며
내식성에서는 탄소강과 차이가 없습니다.

JIS의 STBA12, KS의 STHA12
보일러 및 열 교환기용 합금강 Tube 규격과 대응합니다.

A209 재질들은, 완전 어닐링 (full annealing) or
등온 어닐링 (isothermal annealing) or

불림열처리 (normalizing) or
Normalizing and Tempering 열처리 합니다.

※ Isothermal annealing (등온 어닐링)
Annealing involving austenitizing , follow by cooling which is interrupted
by sucking for a period at a temperature at which the transformation from
austenite into ferritic and pearlite, or cementite and pearlite, is complete.

철강재를 오스테나이트화 한 후 펄라이트 변태 온도 근처까지 냉각하고
그 온도에서 오스테나이트가 페라이트와 펄라이트, 또는 시멘타이트와
펄라이트로 완전하게 변태가 일어나도록 균열화 처리하는 어닐링을 말합니다.

※ Normalizing (불림 :燒準)
Heat treatment consisting of austenitizing followed by air cooling.
The purposes of this operation are to eliminate the influence of pre-working,
to render the crystal grains finder and to improve their mechanical properties.

오스테나이트화 후 공기 중에서 냉각하는 열처리로
노말라이징 열처리의 목적은 강재 생산 앞 공정에서 받은 응력 (Stress)를 풀어주고
결정립을 미세화, 표준화 시켜, 기계적 성질을 향상 시키는 열처리를 말합니다.
