AMS 6378 규정은 130 ksi (896 MPa) 항복강도이면서
쾌삭성 원소 Selenium (Se)을 합금한, 4142H 강재의 Modified 강재입니다.

외경 3.50″ (88.9 mm) 이하의 Die Drawn Round-Bar (인발 환봉) 제품으로
nominal Carbon 0.42%, Chromium, Molybdenum 합금강재입니다.

높은 항복강도 130 ksi 수준은 Elevated Temperature Drawing Process (고온 인발)
공정과 냉간 마무리 생산하며, AMS 6378 재질은 e.t.d.®150®, 또는 ETD150 으로

불리는 trademark of Niagara LaSalle Corporation 제품과 대응됩니다.
AMS 6378, e.t.d.®150®, 재질은 쾌삭강 AISI 1212 재질의 75% 수준입니다.

※ Free cutting steels (Resulfurized : 쾌삭강, 快削鋼) — JIS
Steels to which free cutting properties is improved by
individual or combined addition of phosphorus (P), sulfur (S),
lead (Pb), selenium (Se), tellurium (Te), calcium (Ca), etc.

인, 황, 납, 셀레늄, 텔루륨, 칼슘 등을 단독 또는 복합으로
첨가하여, 피삭성을 높인 강.
